2002年4月17日，Eastman化学公司在美国田纳西州昆士堡市宣布自5月15日开始，提高其涂料用树脂价格。
Eastman化学公司同时指出，此次涨价主要是因为原材料成本、运输成本以及能源成本提高所至；为此，Eastman化学公司将通过其各级营销代表向广大客户公布有关具体细节及内客。
